He gave the order for a windstorm, ¹  and it stirred up the waves of the sea. ² 

Lift your hands toward the sanctuary and praise the Lord!

“Who is this that rises like the Nile, like its streams ¹  turbulent at flood stage?

Let us lift up our hearts ¹  and our hands to God in heaven:

(2:1) ¹  Once again I looked and this time I saw four horns.

Then I turned to look, and there was a flying scroll!

He has brought down the mighty ¹  from their thrones, and has lifted up those of lowly position; ² 

When Jesus had finished saying these things, he looked upward ¹  to heaven ²  and said, “Father, the time ³  has come. Glorify your Son, so that your ⁴  Son may glorify you –

and put the poles into the rings at the sides of the ark in order to carry the ark with them.

He made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold, to carry the table.

He put the poles into the rings on the sides of the altar, with which to carry it. He made the altar ¹  hollow, out of boards.

For I raise up my hand to heaven, and say, ‘As surely as I live forever,

You pick me up on the wind and make me ride on it; ¹  you toss me about ²  in the storm. ³ 

As for you, O Lord, have mercy on me and raise me up, so I can pay them back!” ¹ 

Those who anticipate my defeat ¹  attack me all day long. Indeed, ²  many are fighting against me, O Exalted One. ³ 

For look, your enemies are making a commotion; those who hate you are hostile. ¹ 

Let’s enter his presence ¹  with thanksgiving! Let’s shout out to him in celebration! ² 

From east to west ¹  the Lord’s name is deserving of praise.

He raises the poor from the dirt, and lifts up the needy from the garbage pile, ¹ 

The sluggard plunges ¹  his hand in the dish; he is too lazy to bring it back to his mouth. ²
