And I testify again to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey ¹  the whole law.

I will make many stumble. ¹  They will fall over one another in their hurry to flee. ²  They will say, ‘Get up! Let’s go back to our own people. Let’s go back to our homelands because the enemy is coming to destroy us.’ ³ 

And this is what we intend to do, ¹  if God permits.

So they said to one another, ¹  “Let’s appoint ²  a leader ³  and return ⁴  to Egypt.”

Jonathan said to David, “Come on. Let’s go out to the field.” When the two of them had gone out into the field,

But Absalom said, “Call for ¹  Hushai the Arkite, and let’s hear what he has to say.” ² 

If he holds back the waters, then they dry up; ¹  if he releases them, ²  they destroy ³  the land.

God abandons me to evil ¹  men, ²  and throws ³  me into the hands of wicked men.

Come! Let’s sing for joy to the Lord! Let’s shout out praises to our protector who delivers us! ² 

Let’s enter his presence ¹  with thanksgiving! Let’s shout out to him in celebration! ² 

Come! Let’s bow down and worship! ¹  Let’s kneel before the Lord, our creator!

We will swallow them alive ¹  like Sheol, ²  those full of vigor ³  like those going down to the Pit.

On that day, when evening came, Jesus ¹  said to his disciples, “Let’s go across to the other side of the lake.” ² 

Then some people ¹  said, “Come on! Let us consider how to deal with Jeremiah! ²  There will still be priests to instruct us, wise men to give us advice, and prophets to declare God’s word. ³  Come on! Let’s bring charges against him and get rid of him! ⁴  Then we will not need to pay attention to anything he says.”

Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out to the field.” ¹  While they were in the field, Cain attacked ²  his brother ³  Abel and killed him.

Then they said to one another, ¹  “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” ²  (They had brick instead of stone and tar ³  instead of mortar.) ⁴ 

Come now, let’s kill him, throw him into one of the cisterns, and then say that a wild ¹  animal ate him. Then we’ll see how his dreams turn out!” ² 

He jammed ¹  the wheels of their chariots so that they had difficulty driving, ²  and the Egyptians said, “Let’s flee ³  from Israel, for the Lord fights ⁴  for them against Egypt!”

When they got near Jebus, it was getting quite late ¹  and the servant ²  said to his master, “Come on, let’s stop at ³  this Jebusite city and spend the night in it.”

He said to her, “Get up, let’s leave!” But there was no response. He put her on the donkey and went home. ¹
