Above all, understand this: ¹  In the last days blatant scoffers ²  will come, being propelled by their own evil urges ³ 

As for me, I know that my Redeemer ¹  lives, and that as the last ²  he will stand upon the earth. ³ 

But man ¹  dies and is powerless; ²  he expires – and where is he? ³ 

You are my brothers – my very own flesh and blood! ¹  Why should you delay any further in bringing the king back?’

The one who eats ¹  my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. ² 

who by God’s power are protected through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

For they said to you, “In the end time there will come ¹  scoffers, propelled by their own ungodly desires.” ² 

“To ¹  the angel of the church in Smyrna write the following: ²  “This is the solemn pronouncement of ³  the one who is the first and the last, the one who was dead, but ⁴  came to life:

The rest of the events of Uzziah’s reign, from start to finish, were recorded by the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz. ¹ 

and his accomplishments, from start to finish, are recorded ¹  in the Scroll of the Kings of Israel and Judah.

When Jacob finished giving these instructions to his sons, he pulled his feet up onto the bed, breathed his last breath, and went ¹  to his people.

All those numbered of the camp of Dan are 157,600. They will travel last, under their standards.”

Listen to me, O Jacob, Israel, whom I summoned! I am the one; I am present at the very beginning and at the very end. ¹ 

Afterward ¹  it bites like a snake, and stings like a viper.

But they did not find anything, though many false witnesses came forward. Finally ¹  two came forward

for riches do not last ¹  forever, nor does a crown last ²  from generation to generation.

Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” ¹  And after he said this he breathed his last.

and I always ask ¹  in my prayers, if perhaps now at last I may succeed in visiting you according to the will of God. ² 

in these last days he has spoken to us in a son, ¹  whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he created the world. ² 

He was foreknown ¹  before the foundation of the world but ²  was manifested in these last times ³  for your sake.
