Fool! What you sow will not come to life unless it dies.

So God treated the midwives well, ¹  and the people multiplied and became very strong.

On that day the army struck down the Philistines from Micmash to Aijalon, and they became very tired.

David’s power grew steadily, for the Lord God ¹  who commands armies ²  was with him. ³ 

While they are still beginning to flower ¹  and not ripe for cutting, ²  they can wither away ³  faster ⁴  than any grass! ⁵ 

I have seen ruthless evil men ¹  growing in influence, like a green tree grows in its native soil. ² 

A king’s glory is ¹  the abundance of people, but the lack of subjects ²  is the ruin ³  of a ruler.

though it never saw the light of day ¹  nor knew anything, ²  yet it has more rest ³  than that man –

And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.

In him ¹  the whole building, ²  being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord,

Then ¹  he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the land sprouted with a harvest.

In the east they settled as far as the entrance to the desert that stretches to the Euphrates River, for their cattle had increased in numbers in the land of Gilead.

But I ¹  am like a flourishing ²  olive tree in the house of God; I continually ³  trust in God’s loyal love.

But the path of the righteous is like the bright morning light, ¹  growing brighter and brighter ²  until full day. ³ 

For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your children will conquer ¹  nations and will resettle desolate cities.

When I had returned, I noticed ¹  a vast number of trees on the banks of the river, on both sides.

The tree that you saw that grew large and strong, whose top reached to the sky, and which could be seen ¹  in all the land,

Instead, they tried to row ¹  back to land, ²  but they were not able to do so ³  because the storm kept growing worse and worse. ⁴ 

And the child kept growing ¹  and becoming strong ²  in spirit, and he was in the wilderness ³  until the day he was revealed ⁴  to Israel.
