My eyes ¹  grow dim ²  from suffering; they grow weak ³  because of all my enemies. ⁴ 

But you, brothers and sisters, ¹  do not grow weary in doing what is right.

Let both grow together until the harvest. At ¹  harvest time I will tell the reapers, “First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned, but then ²  gather ³  the wheat into my barn.”’”

Exercise appropriate caution so that there is no negligence in this matter. Why should danger increase to the point that kings sustain damage?”

The water made it grow; underground springs made it grow tall. Rivers flowed all around the place it was planted, while smaller channels watered all the trees of the field. ¹ 

Consider how the flowers ¹  grow; they do not work ²  or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed like one of these!

So we must not grow weary ¹  in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not give up. ² 

Think of him who endured such opposition against himself by sinners, so that you may not grow weary in your souls and give up.

The day you begin cultivating, you do what you can to make it grow; ¹  the morning you begin planting, you do what you can to make it sprout. Yet the harvest will disappear ²  in the day of disease and incurable pain.

He cuts down cedars and acquires a cypress ¹  or an oak. He gets ²  trees from the forest; he plants a cedar ³  and the rain makes it grow.

The Lord said, “You were upset ¹  about this little ²  plant, something for which you have not worked nor did you do anything to make it grow. It grew up overnight and died the next day. ³ 

He must become more important while I become less important.” ¹ 

But the righteous man holds to his way, and the one with clean hands grows stronger. ¹ 

So neither the one who plants counts for anything, ¹  nor the one who waters, but God who causes the growth.

My wounds ¹  are infected and starting to smell, ²  because of my foolish sins. ³ 

The sun and moon are darkened; the stars withhold ¹  their brightness.

They will perish, but you continue. And they will all grow old like a garment,

On both sides of the river’s banks, every kind of tree will grow for food. Their leaves will not wither nor will their fruit fail, but they will bear fruit every month, because their water source flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food and their leaves for healing.” ¹ 

The high places of the “House ¹  of Wickedness” ²  will be destroyed; it is the place where Israel sins. Thorns and thistles will grow up over its altars. Then they will say to the mountains, “Cover us!” and to the hills, “Fall on us!”

when those who keep watch over the house ¹  begin to tremble, ²  and the virile men begin to stoop over, ³  and the grinders ⁴  begin to cease because they grow few, and those who look through the windows grow dim, ⁵
