I keep your commands eagerly and without delay. ¹ 

I hope for your deliverance, O Lord, and I obey ¹  your commands.

One who acts wickedly ¹  pays attention to evil counsel; ²  a liar listens ³  to a malicious tongue. ⁴ 

So the lame man ¹  paid attention to them, expecting to receive something from them.

All Judah was happy about the oath, because they made the vow with their whole heart. They willingly sought the Lord and he responded to them. ¹  He made them secure on every side. ² 

Dear friends, although I have been eager to write to you ¹  about our common salvation, I now feel compelled ²  instead to write to encourage ³  you to contend earnestly ⁴  for the faith ⁵  that was once for all ⁶  entrusted to the saints. ⁷ 

to ¹  those who wait ²  for death that ³  does not come, and search for it ⁴  more than for hidden treasures,

They waited for me as people wait ¹  for the rain, and they opened their mouths ²  as for ³  the spring rains.

When he struck them down, ¹  they sought his favor; ²  they turned back and longed for God.

They will talk about the fame of your great kindness, ¹  and sing about your justice. ² 

For all the nations of the world pursue ¹  these things, and your Father knows that you need them.

And they paid close attention to him because he had amazed them for a long time with his magic.

Thus I am eager ¹  also to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome. ² 

So then, let us pursue what makes for peace and for building up one another.

But you should be eager for the greater gifts. And now I will show you a way that is beyond comparison. ¹ 

¹ who though he existed in the form of God ²  did not regard equality with God as something to be grasped,

This saying ¹  is trustworthy: “If someone aspires to the office of overseer, ²  he desires a good work.”

And he must turn away from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it.

If a man dies, will he live again? ¹  All the days of my hard service ²  I will wait ³  until my release comes. ⁴ 

Lord, in the morning ¹  you will hear ²  me; ³  in the morning I will present my case to you ⁴  and then wait expectantly for an answer. ⁵
