because I have given them the words you have given me. They ¹  accepted ²  them ³  and really ⁴  understand ⁵  that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.

and they summoned the apostles and had them beaten. ¹  Then ²  they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus and released them.

“I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted;

Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, came in, and he saw and believed. ¹ 

for he refuted the Jews vigorously ¹  in public debate, ²  demonstrating from the scriptures that the Christ ³  was Jesus. ⁴ 

But the centurion ¹  was more convinced ²  by the captain ³  and the ship’s owner than by what Paul said. ⁴ 

One person believes in eating everything, but the weak person eats only vegetables.

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for, being convinced of what we do not see.

But if you show prejudice, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as violators. ¹ 

Then Israel said, “Enough! My son Joseph is still alive! I will go and see him before I die.”

“If ¹  they do not believe you or pay attention to ²  the former sign, then they may ³  believe the latter sign. ⁴ 

When the man got ready to leave, ¹  his father-in-law convinced him to stay another night. ² 

Now while Jesus ¹  was in Jerusalem ²  at the feast of the Passover, many people believed in his name because they saw the miraculous signs he was doing. ³ 

Now we know that you know everything ¹  and do not need anyone ²  to ask you anything. ³  Because of this ⁴  we believe that you have come from God.”

After Paul ¹  saw the vision, we attempted ²  immediately to go over to Macedonia, ³  concluding that God had called ⁴  us to proclaim the good news to them.

But some people ¹  joined him ²  and believed. Among them ³  were Dionysius, who was a member of the Areopagus, ⁴  a woman ⁵  named Damaris, and others with them.

And if it is by grace, it is no longer by works, otherwise grace would no longer be grace.

Every day I am in danger of death! This is as sure as ¹  my boasting in you, ²  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.

For I am sure of this very thing, ¹  that the one ²  who began a good work in ³  you will perfect it ⁴  until the day of Christ Jesus.

Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a clear conscience and desire to conduct ourselves rightly in every respect.
