ק (Qof) I have called on your name, O Lord, from the deepest pit. ¹ 

The entrance to the bottom ¹  level of side rooms was on the south side of the temple; stairs went up ²  to the middle floor and then on up to the third ³  floor.

I was attentive that night and saw a man seated ¹  on a red horse that stood among some myrtle trees ²  in the ravine. Behind him were red, sorrel, ³  and white horses.

Have you gone to the springs that fill the sea, ¹  or walked about in the recesses of the deep?

They ¹  reached up to the sky, then dropped into the depths. The sailors’ strength ²  left them ³  because the danger was so great. ⁴ 

I seek your favor ¹  with all my heart. Have mercy on me as you promised! ² 

Trust ¹  in the Lord with all your heart, ²  and do not rely ³  on your own understanding. ⁴ 

who led them through the deep water? Like a horse running on flat land ¹  they did not stumble.

When ¹  they came to the crowd, a man came to him, knelt before him,

So I want the men ¹  to pray ²  in every place, lifting up holy hands ³  without anger or dispute.

Grieve, mourn, ¹  and weep. Turn your laughter ²  into mourning and your joy into despair.

Then ¹  the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn for her because no one buys their cargo ²  any longer –

The side chambers surrounding the temple were wider at each successive story; ¹  for the structure ²  surrounding the temple went up story by story all around the temple. For this reason the width of the temple increased as it went up, and one went up from the lowest story to the highest by the way of the middle story.

“And these are the measurements of the altar: ¹  Its base ²  is 1¾ feet ³  high, ⁴  and 1¾ feet ⁵  wide, and its border nine inches ⁶  on its edge. This is to be the height ⁷  of the altar.

The Egyptians chased them and followed them into the middle of the sea – all the horses of Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.

They made pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and twisted linen ¹  around the hem of the robe.

Joshua sent messengers who ran to the tent. The things were hidden right in his tent, with the silver underneath. ¹ 

The depths ¹  of the sea were exposed; the inner regions ²  of the world were uncovered by the Lord’s battle cry, ³  by the powerful breath from his nose. ⁴ 

Don’t let the current overpower me! Don’t let the deep swallow me up! Don’t let the pit ¹  devour me! ² 

Though you have allowed me to experience much trouble and distress, ¹  revive me once again! ²  Bring me up once again ³  from the depths of the earth!
