Immediately Jesus ¹  made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of him to the other side, while he dispersed the crowds.

Going on a little farther, he saw James, the son of Zebedee, and John his brother in their ¹  boat mending nets.

Immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.

Because of the crowd, he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him so the crowd ¹  would not press toward him.

So ¹  after leaving the crowd, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat, ²  and other boats were with him.

Just as Jesus ¹  was getting out of the boat, a man with an unclean spirit ²  came from the tombs and met him. ³ 

Immediately Jesus ¹  made his disciples get into the boat and go on ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he dispersed the crowd.

got into a boat, and started to cross the lake ¹  to Capernaum. ²  (It had already become dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.) ³ 

Then, when they had rowed about three or four miles, ¹  they caught sight of Jesus walking on the lake, ²  approaching the boat, and they were frightened.

Meanwhile the other disciples came with the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from land, only about a hundred yards. ¹ 

Meanwhile the boat, already far from land, ¹  was taking a beating from the waves because the wind was against it.

When Jesus had crossed again in a boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around him, and he was by the sea.

He got into ¹  one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little way from the shore. Then ²  Jesus ³  sat down ⁴  and taught the crowds from the boat.

One ¹  day Jesus ²  got into a boat ³  with his disciples and said to them, “Let’s go across to the other side of the lake.” So ⁴  they set out,

The next day the crowd that remained on the other side of the lake ¹  realized that only one small boat ²  had been there, and that Jesus had not boarded ³  it with his disciples, but that his disciples had gone away alone.

After they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret ¹  and anchored there.

As we ran under the lee of ¹  a small island called Cauda, ²  we were able with difficulty to get the ship’s boat ³  under control.

Going on from there he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in a boat ¹  with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. Then ²  he called them.

Now when Jesus heard this he went away from there privately in a boat to an isolated place. But when the crowd heard about it, ¹  they followed him on foot from the towns. ² 

Again he began to teach by the lake. Such a large crowd gathered around him that he got into a boat on the lake and sat there while ¹  the whole crowd was on the shore by the lake.
