The group of those who believed were of one heart and mind, ¹  and no one said that any of his possessions was his own, but everything was held in common. ² 

So they spent ¹  considerable ²  time with the disciples.

But some from the religious party of the Pharisees ¹  who had believed stood up and said, “It is necessary ²  to circumcise the Gentiles ³  and to order them to observe ⁴  the law of Moses.”

When Apollos ¹  wanted to cross over to Achaia, ²  the brothers encouraged ³  him ⁴  and wrote to the disciples to welcome him. When he arrived, he ⁵  assisted greatly those who had believed by grace,

When the brothers found out about this, they brought him down to Caesarea ¹  and sent him away to Tarsus.

but Paul chose Silas and set out, commended ¹  to the grace of the Lord by the brothers and sisters. ² 

Therefore many of them believed, along with quite a few ¹  prominent ²  Greek women and men.

Then the brothers sent Paul away to the coast ¹  at once, but Silas and Timothy remained in Berea. ² 

There ¹  we found ²  some brothers ³  and were invited to stay with them seven days. And in this way we came to Rome. ⁴ 

Greet Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the believers ¹  who are with them.

and that we may be delivered from perverse and evil people. For not all have faith.

Greetings to all your leaders and all the saints. Those from Italy send you greetings.

Now in those ¹  days, when the disciples were growing in number, ²  a complaint arose on the part of the Greek-speaking Jews ³  against the native Hebraic Jews, ⁴  because their widows ⁵  were being overlooked ⁶  in the daily distribution of food. ⁷ 

When they heard this, they praised ¹  God. Then they said to him, “You see, brother, how many thousands of Jews ²  there are who have believed, and they are all ardent observers ³  of the law. ⁴ 

But regarding the Gentiles who have believed, we have written a letter, having decided ¹  that they should avoid ²  meat that has been sacrificed to idols ³  and blood and what has been strangled ⁴  and sexual immorality.”

In fact this is why ¹  we work hard and struggle, ²  because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, ³  especially of believers.

When they were released, Peter and John ¹  went to their fellow believers ²  and reported everything the high priests and the elders had said to them.

Now many miraculous signs ¹  and wonders came about among the people through the hands of the apostles. By ²  common consent ³  they were all meeting together in Solomon’s Portico. ⁴ 

So Peter ¹  invited them in and entertained them as guests. On the next day he got up and set out ²  with them, and some of the brothers from Joppa ³  accompanied him.

Now the apostles and the brothers who were throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles too had accepted ¹  the word of God. ²
