(Now this is love: that we walk ¹  according to his commandments.) This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning; thus ²  you should walk in it. ³ 

He stores up ¹  effective counsel ²  for the upright, ³  and is like ⁴  a shield ⁵  for those who live ⁶  with integrity, ⁷ 

So ¹  you will walk in the way of good people, ²  and will keep on the paths of the righteous. ³ 

Thus I will strengthen them by my power, ¹  and they will walk about ²  in my name,” says the Lord.

They asked him, “Who is the man who said to you, ‘Pick up your mat ¹  and walk’?” ² 

The one who says he resides ¹  in God ²  ought himself to walk ³  just as Jesus ⁴  walked.

“‘If you walk in my statutes and are sure to obey my commandments, ¹ 

But I have integrity! ¹  Rescue me ²  and have mercy on me!

Woe to you! ¹  You are like unmarked graves, and people ²  walk over them without realizing it!” ³ 

But you have a few individuals ¹  in Sardis who have not stained ²  their clothes, and they will walk with me dressed ³  in white, because they are worthy.

The nations ¹  will walk by its light and the kings of the earth will bring their grandeur ²  into it.

They did not keep their covenant with God, ¹  and they refused to obey ²  his law.

א (Alef) How blessed are those whose actions are blameless, ²  who obey ³  the law of the Lord.

Then you will walk on your way ¹  with security, and you ²  will not stumble. ³ 

When you walk, your steps ¹  will not be hampered, ²  and when you run, ³  you will not stumble.

Joshua left those nations ¹  to test ²  Israel. I wanted to see ³  whether or not the people ⁴  would carefully walk in the path ⁵  marked out by ⁶  the Lord, as their ancestors ⁷  were careful to do.”

“‘Every winged swarming thing that walks on all fours ¹  is detestable to you.

If only my people would obey me! ¹  If only Israel would keep my commands! ² 

Do not enter the path of the wicked or walk ¹  in the way of those who are evil.

Abandon your foolish ways ¹  so that you may live, ²  and proceed ³  in the way of understanding.”
