They come with red cloth ¹  from Egypt, Ethiopia ²  voluntarily offers tribute ³  to God.

She has prepared her meat, ¹  she has mixed her wine; she also has arranged her table. ² 

Don’t you realize the Lord’s day of judgment will bring ¹  darkness, not light – gloomy blackness, not bright light?

As ¹  he began settling his accounts, a man who owed ten thousand talents ²  was brought to him.

Amaziah asked the prophet: ¹  “But what should I do about the hundred talents of silver I paid the Israelite troops?” The prophet ²  replied, “The Lord is capable of giving you more than that.”

So they came to him, all his brothers and sisters and all who had known him before, and they dined ¹  with him in his house. They comforted him and consoled him for all the trouble the Lord had brought on him, and each one gave him a piece of silver ²  and a gold ring. ³ 

Doesn’t my master drink from this cup ¹  and use it for divination? ²  You have done wrong!’” ³ 

If the one who consecrates it redeems his house, he must add to it one fifth of its conversion value in silver, and it will belong to him. ¹ 

collect ¹  five shekels for each ²  one individually; you are to collect ³  this amount ⁴  in the currency of the sanctuary shekel (this shekel is twenty gerahs). ⁵ 

You may purchase ¹  food to eat and water to drink from them.

Sell me food for cash ¹  so that I can eat and sell me water to drink. ²  Just allow me to go through on foot,

The priests should receive the silver they need from the treasurers and repair any damage to the temple they discover.” ¹ 

The priests agreed ¹  not to collect silver from the people and relieved themselves of personal responsibility for the temple repairs. ² 

(The silver collected in conjunction with reparation offerings and sin offerings was not brought to the Lord’s temple; it belonged to the priests.)

All the officials and all the people gladly brought their silver and threw it into the chest until it was full.

They melted down the silver in the Lord’s temple ¹  and handed it over to the supervisors of the construction foremen.”

We accept responsibility for fulfilling ¹  the commands to give ²  one third of a shekel each year for the work of the temple ³  of our God,

before the sun and the light ¹  of the moon and the stars grow dark, and the clouds disappear ²  after the rain;

I reported, ¹  “All of them are the most stubborn of rebels! ²  They are as hard as bronze or iron. They go about telling lies. They all deal corruptly.

They also took the pots, shovels, ¹  trimming shears, ²  basins, pans, and all the bronze utensils used by the priests. ³
