Like cold water to a weary person, ¹  so is good news from a distant land. ² 

Lament, ¹  you residents of the coast, you merchants of Sidon ²  who travel over the sea, whose agents sail over

who led them through the deep water? Like a horse running on flat land ¹  they did not stumble.

A great number of sick, blind, lame, and paralyzed people were lying in these walkways. ¹

However, a spring or a cistern which collects water ¹  will be clean, but one who touches their carcass will be unclean.
