All of your people will be godly; ¹  they will possess the land permanently. I will plant them like a shoot; they will be the product of my labor, through whom I reveal my splendor. ² 

For I tell you the truth, ¹  many prophets and righteous people longed to see ²  what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.

When Jesus heard this he said to them, “Those who are healthy don’t need a physician, but those who are sick do. ¹  I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Then he said, ‘The God of our ancestors ¹  has already chosen ²  you to know his will, to see ³  the Righteous One, ⁴  and to hear a command ⁵  from his mouth,

what he stores up ¹  a righteous man will wear, and an innocent man will inherit his silver.

I know, Lord, that your regulations ¹  are just. You disciplined me because of your faithful devotion to me. ² 

All the words of my mouth are righteous; ¹  there is nothing in them twisted ²  or crooked.

The one who acquits the guilty and the one who condemns the innocent ¹  – both of them are an abomination to the Lord. ² 

The one who says to the guilty, ¹  “You are innocent,” ²  peoples will curse him, and nations will denounce ³  him.

Then the Lord said to me, “Under the circumstances, wayward Israel could even be considered less guilty than unfaithful Judah. ¹ 

Then ¹  I heard the altar reply, ²  “Yes, Lord God, the All-Powerful, ³  your judgments are true and just!”

Gray hair is like ¹  a crown of glory; ²  it is attained ³  in the path of righteousness. ⁴ 

Do not judge according to external appearance, ¹  but judge with proper ²  judgment.”

“You must not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see ¹  and subverts the words of the righteous.

And what other great nation has statutes and ordinances as just ¹  as this whole law ²  that I am about to share with ³  you today?

All day long my tongue will also tell about your justice, for those who want to harm me ¹  will be embarrassed and ashamed. ² 

so that the righteous requirement of the law may be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

So now, bear your disgrace, because you have given your sisters reason to justify their behavior. ¹  Because the sins you have committed were more abominable than those of your sisters; they have become more righteous than you. So now, be ashamed and bear the disgrace of making your sisters appear righteous.

what if there are five less than the fifty godly people? Will you destroy ¹  the whole city because five are lacking?” ²  He replied, “I will not destroy it if I find forty-five there.”

You must not pervert justice or show favor. Do not take a bribe, for bribes blind the eyes of the wise and distort ¹  the words of the righteous. ²
