He covers himself with light as if it were a garment. He stretches out the skies like a tent curtain,

O sovereign Lord, my strong deliverer, ¹  you shield ²  my head in the day of battle.

Blessings ¹  are on the head of the righteous, but the speech ²  of the wicked conceals ³  violence. ⁴

I will put your flesh on the mountains, and fill the valleys with your maggot-infested carcass. ¹ 

The Lord is good ¹  – indeed, ²  he is a fortress ³  in time of distress, ⁴  and he protects ⁵  those who seek refuge ⁶  in him.

I will pelt you with filth; ¹  I will treat you with contempt; I will make you a public spectacle.
