What is your verdict?” ¹  They ²  answered, “He is guilty and deserves ³  death.”

You must do what you are instructed, and the verdict they pronounce to you, without fail. Do not deviate right or left from what they tell you.

You have heard the blasphemy! What is your verdict?” ¹  They all condemned him as deserving death.

Offer the prescribed sacrifices ¹  and trust in the Lord! ² 

So ¹  Pilate ²  decided ³  that their demand should be granted.

You will go to the Levitical priests and the judge in office in those days and seek a solution; they will render a verdict.

If I am guilty, ¹  why then ²  weary myself ³  in vain? ⁴ 

I said of partying, ¹  “It is folly,” and of self-indulgent pleasure, ²  “It accomplishes nothing!” ³ 

You must then do as they have determined at that place the Lord chooses. Be careful to do just as you are taught.

He told the judges, “Be careful what you do, ¹  for you are not judging for men, but for the Lord, who will be with you when you make judicial decisions.

These are the things you must do: Speak the truth, each of you, to one another. Practice true and righteous judgment in your courts. ¹ 

When the people heard this troubling word ¹  they mourned; ²  no one put on his ornaments.

All you Israelites, ¹  make a decision here!” ² 

He did evil because he was not determined to follow the Lord. ¹ 

I will say to God, ‘Do not condemn ¹  me; tell me ²  why you are contending ³  with me.’

Because ¹  you have closed their ²  minds to understanding, therefore you will not exalt them. ³ 

Recall the miraculous deeds he performed, his mighty acts and the judgments he decreed, ¹ 

When he is judged, he will be found ¹  guilty! ²  Then his prayer will be regarded as sinful.

The divine verdict ¹  is in the words ²  of the king, his pronouncements ³  must not act treacherously ⁴  against justice.

“Therefore, the Lord who rules over all ¹  says, ‘You have not listened to what I said. ²
