but he holds his priesthood permanently since he lives forever.

so that we who have found refuge in him ¹  may find strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us through two unchangeable things, since it is impossible for God to lie.

In the same way ¹  God wanted to demonstrate more clearly to the heirs of the promise that his purpose was unchangeable, ²  and so he intervened with an oath,

But he is unchangeable, ¹  and who can change ²  him? Whatever he ³  has desired, he does.

If, as far as the priest can see, the scall has stayed the same ¹  and black hair has sprouted in it, the scall has been healed; the person is clean. So the priest is to pronounce him clean. ² 

It is fitting ¹  to proclaim your loyal love in the morning, and your faithfulness during the night,

But you remain; ¹  your years do not come to an end.

His work is majestic and glorious, ¹  and his faithfulness endures ²  forever.

Let Israel say, “Yes, his loyal love endures!”

I rejoice in the lifestyle prescribed by your rules ¹  as if ²  they were riches of all kinds. ³ 

Spare me ¹  shame and humiliation, for I observe your rules.

Yes, I find delight in your rules; they give me guidance. ¹ 

Give me a desire for your rules, ¹  rather than for wealth gained unjustly. ² 

I will speak ¹  about your regulations before kings and not be ashamed.

I consider my actions ¹  and follow ²  your rules.

The rules you impose are just, ¹  and absolutely reliable.

Your justice endures, ¹  and your law is reliable. ² 

I keep your rules; I love them greatly.

Give thanks to the God of gods, for his loyal love endures.
