So then, tongues are a sign not for believers but for unbelievers. Prophecy, however, is not for unbelievers but for believers.

Instead, does a Christian sue a Christian, ¹  and do this before unbelievers?

For the unbelieving husband is sanctified because of the wife, and the unbelieving wife because of her husband. ¹  Otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are holy.

And what agreement does Christ have with Beliar? ¹  Or what does a believer share in common with an unbeliever?

So if the whole church comes together and all speak in tongues, and unbelievers or uninformed people enter, will they not say that you have lost your minds?

But the Jews who refused to believe ¹  stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their minds ²  against the brothers.

But if the unbeliever wants a divorce, let it take place. In these circumstances the brother or sister is not bound. ¹  God has called you in peace.

But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or uninformed person enters, he will be convicted by all, he will be called to account by all.

All is pure to those who are pure. But to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their minds and consciences are corrupted.

Do not become partners ¹  with those who do not believe, for what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship does light have with darkness?

But if someone does not provide for his own, ¹  especially his own family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

See to it, ¹  brothers and sisters, ²  that none of you has ³  an evil, unbelieving heart that forsakes ⁴  the living God. ⁵ 

If an unbeliever invites you to dinner and you want to go, eat whatever is served without asking questions of conscience.

But to the cowards, unbelievers, detestable persons, murderers, the sexually immoral, and those who practice magic spells, ¹  idol worshipers, ²  and all those who lie, their place ³  will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. ⁴  That ⁵  is the second death.”

Pray ¹  that I may be rescued from those who are disobedient in Judea and that my ministry in Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints,

And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is happy to live with her, she should not divorce him.

Jesus answered, ¹  “You ²  unbelieving ³  and perverse generation! How much longer ⁴  must I be with you? How much longer must I endure ⁵  you? ⁶  Bring him here to me.”

He answered them, ¹  “You ²  unbelieving ³  generation! How much longer ⁴  must I be with you? How much longer must I endure ⁵  you? ⁶  Bring him to me.”

Jesus answered, ¹  “You ²  unbelieving ³  and perverse generation! How much longer ⁴  must I be with you and endure ⁵  you? ⁶  Bring your son here.”

To the rest I say – I, not the Lord ¹  – if a brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is happy to live with him, he should not divorce her.
