I fast twice ¹  a week; I give a tenth ²  of everything I get.’

I have spoken once, but I cannot answer; twice, but I will say no more.” ¹ 

On the sixth day ¹  they will prepare what they bring in, and it will be twice as much as they gather every other day.” ² 

The traders and sellers of all kinds of merchandise spent the night outside Jerusalem once or twice.

But if we had not delayed, we could have traveled there and back ¹  twice by now!”

“Indeed, God does all these things, twice, three times, in his dealings ²  with a person,

God has declared one principle; two principles I have heard: ¹  God is strong, ² 

Then Moses raised his hand, and struck the rock twice with his staff. And water came out abundantly. So the community drank, and their beasts drank too.

The Lord was angry with Solomon because he had shifted his allegiance ¹  away from the Lord, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him on two occasions ² 

if he should live a thousand years twice, yet does not enjoy his prosperity. For both of them die! ¹ 

Jesus said to him, “I tell you the truth, ¹  today – this very night – before a rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.”

and Saul threw the spear, thinking, “I’ll nail David to the wall!” But David escaped from him on two different occasions.

So the Lord ¹  restored what Job had lost ²  after he prayed for his friends, ³  and the Lord doubled ⁴  all that had belonged to Job.

The dream was repeated to Pharaoh ¹  because the matter has been decreed ²  by God, and God will make it happen soon. ³ 

The ¹  number of soldiers on horseback was two hundred million; ²  I heard their number.

“Woe to you, experts in the law ¹  and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You cross land and sea to make one convert, ²  and when you get one, ³  you make him twice as much a child of hell ⁴  as yourselves!

Immediately a rooster ¹  crowed a second time. Then ²  Peter remembered what Jesus had said to him: “Before a rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” And he broke down and wept. ³ 

So the king of Israel sent a message to the place the prophet had pointed out, warning it ¹  to be on its guard. This happened on several occasions. ² 

These men are ¹  dangerous reefs ²  at your love feasts, ³  feasting without reverence, ⁴  feeding only themselves. ⁵  They are ⁶  waterless ⁷  clouds, carried along by the winds; autumn trees without fruit ⁸  – twice dead, ⁹  uprooted;
