When it returns, ¹  it finds the house ²  swept clean and put in order. ³ 

Armies ¹  will be suddenly ²  swept away in defeat ³  before him; both they and a covenant leader ⁴  will be destroyed. ⁵ 

How desolate they become in a mere moment! Terrifying judgments make their demise complete! ¹ 

But if you continue to do evil, both you and your king will be swept away.”

The water would have overpowered us; the current ¹  would have overwhelmed ²  us. ³ 

The Kishon River carried them off; the river confronted them ¹  – the Kishon River. Step on the necks of the strong! ² 

Then it says, ‘I will return to the home I left.’ ¹  When it returns, ²  it finds the house ³  empty, swept clean, and put in order. ⁴ 

Your anger overwhelms me; ¹  your terrors destroy me.

There is abundant food in the field ¹  of the poor, but it is swept away by injustice. ² 

Those who share the king’s fine food will attempt to destroy him, and his army will be swept away; ¹  many will be killed in battle.

When the mountains see you, they shake. The torrential downpour sweeps through. ¹  The great deep ²  shouts out; it lifts its hands high. ³ 

And they knew nothing until the flood came and took them all away. ¹  It will be the same at the coming of the Son of Man. ² 

Now ¹  the dragon’s ²  tail swept away a third of the stars in heaven and hurled them to the earth. Then ³  the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that he might devour her child as soon as it was born.

How often ¹  are they like straw before the wind, and like chaff swept away ²  by a whirlwind?

The raging water would have overwhelmed us. ¹ 

And he said to the community, “Move away from the tents of these wicked ¹  men, and do not touch anything they have, lest you be destroyed because ²  of all their sins.” ³ 

and suddenly ¹  a great wind ²  swept across ³  the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people, and they died! And I – only I alone – escaped to tell you!”

He catches ¹  the wise in their own craftiness, ²  and the counsel of the cunning ³  is brought to a quick end. ⁴ 

But now, the sun ¹  cannot be looked at ²  – it is bright in the skies – after a wind passed and swept the clouds away. ³ 

When the storm ¹  passes through, the wicked are swept away, ²  but the righteous are an everlasting foundation. ³
