Now the materials were more than enough ¹  for them to do all the work. ² 

This punishment on such an individual by the majority is enough for him,

In the fullness of his sufficiency, ¹  distress ²  overtakes him. the full force of misery will come upon him. ³ 

Not that we are adequate ¹  in ourselves to consider anything as if it were coming from ourselves, but our adequacy ²  is from God,
