I ¹  have refused ²  to touch such things; ³  they are like loathsome food to me. ⁴ 

But their prosperity is not their own doing. ¹  The counsel of the wicked is far from me! ² 

But it was he ¹  who filled their houses with good things – yet the counsel of the wicked ²  was far from me. ³ 

under an unloved ¹  woman who is married, and under a female servant who dispossesses ²  her mistress.

So Achish trusted David, thinking to himself, ¹  “He is really hated ²  among his own people in ³  Israel! From now on ⁴  he will be my servant.”

I will bring such disaster on them that all the kingdoms of the earth will be horrified. I will make them an object of reproach, a proverbial example of disaster. I will make them an object of ridicule, an example to be used in curses. ¹  That is how they will be remembered wherever I banish them. ² 

but ¹  nothing ritually unclean ²  will ever enter into it, nor anyone who does what is detestable ³  or practices falsehood, ⁴  but only those whose names ⁵  are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

But the thought of striking out against ¹  Mordecai alone was repugnant to him, for he had been informed ²  of the identity of Mordecai’s people. ³  So Haman sought to destroy all the Jews (that is, the people of Mordecai) ⁴  who were in all the kingdom of Ahasuerus.
