When the news reaches Egypt, they will be shaken by what has happened to Tyre. ¹ 

This ought not to be, ¹  my sons! For the report that I hear circulating among the Lord’s people is not good.

through glory and dishonor, through slander and praise; regarded as impostors, ¹  and yet true;

At that time Herod the tetrarch ¹  heard reports about Jesus,

¹ “You must not give ²  a false report. ³  Do not make common cause ⁴  with the wicked ⁵  to be a malicious ⁶  witness.

But the officers ¹  who came for them ²  did not find them in the prison, so they returned and reported, ³ 

those men who produced the evil report about the land, died by the plague before the Lord.

The police officers reported these words to the magistrates. They were frightened when they heard Paul and Silas ¹  were Roman citizens ² 

And the news of this spread throughout that region. ¹ 

John’s ¹  disciples informed him about all these things. So ²  John called ³  two of his disciples

The officials put the scroll in the room of Elishama, the royal secretary, for safekeeping. ¹  Then they went to the court and reported everything ²  to the king. ³ 

Written in it were the following words: “Among the nations it is rumored ¹  (and Geshem ²  has substantiated ³  this) that you and the Jews have intentions of revolting, and for this reason you are building the wall. Furthermore, according to these rumors ⁴  you are going to become their king.

This ¹  report ²  about Jesus ³  circulated ⁴  throughout ⁵  Judea and all the surrounding country.

Do not lose your courage or become afraid because of the reports that are heard in the land. For a report will come in one year. Another report will follow it in the next. There will be violence in the land with ruler fighting against ruler.”

Then Joab sent a full battle report to David. ¹

The men whom Moses sent to investigate the land, who returned and made the whole community murmur against him by producing ¹  an evil report about the land,

This very day I will begin to fill all the people of the earth ¹  with dread and to terrify them when they hear about you. They will shiver and shake in anticipation of your approach.” ²
