This was the order in which they carried out their assigned responsibilities when they entered the Lord’s temple, according to the regulations given them by their ancestor ¹  Aaron, just as the Lord God of Israel had instructed him. ² 

Whoever obeys his ¹  command will not experience harm, and a wise person ²  knows the proper time ³  and procedure.

For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter, for the oppression ¹  of the king ²  is severe upon his victim. ³ 

The king then inquired of the wise men who were discerners of the times – for it was the royal custom to confer with all those who were proficient in laws and legalities. ¹ 

He then presented the burnt offering, and did it according to the standard regulation. ¹ 

“This is the law for all diseased infections, for scall, ¹ 

He must do with the rest of the bull just as he did with the bull of the sin offering; this is what he must do with it. ¹  So the priest will make atonement ²  on their behalf and they will be forgiven. ³ 

In him you also were circumcised – not, however, ¹  with a circumcision performed by human hands, but by the removal ²  of the fleshly body, ³  that is, ⁴  through the circumcision done by Christ.

– just as it is taken from the ox of the peace offering sacrifice ¹  – and the priest must offer them up in smoke on the altar of burnt offering.

to teach when something is unclean and when it is clean. ¹  This is the law for dealing with infectious disease.” ² 

This is the law of the one with a discharge: the one who has a seminal emission ¹  and becomes unclean by it, ² 

And so ¹  you are to separate the Levites from among the Israelites, and the Levites will be mine.

You must do so for each one according to the number that you prepare.

He laid his hands on him and commissioned him, just as the Lord commanded, ¹  by the authority ²  of Moses.

So these things must be a statutory ordinance ¹  for you throughout your generations, in all the places where you live.

I signed the deed of purchase, ¹  sealed it, and had some men serve as witnesses to the purchase. ²  I weighed out the silver for him on a scale.

With regard to the collection for the saints, please follow the directions that I gave to the churches of Galatia: ¹ 

The second bird ¹  he must make a burnt offering according to the standard regulation. ²  So the priest will make atonement ³  on behalf of this person for ⁴  his sin which he has committed, and he will be forgiven. ⁵ 

If a resident foreigner lives ¹  among you and wants to keep ²  the Passover to the Lord, he must do so according to the statute of the Passover, and according to its custom. You must have ³  the same ⁴  statute for the resident foreigner ⁵  and for the one who was born in the land.’”

If a resident foreigner is living ¹  with you – or whoever is among you ²  in future generations ³  – and prepares an offering made by fire as a pleasing aroma to the Lord, he must do it the same way you are to do it. ⁴
