Now yes, it is true that ¹  I am a guardian, ²  but there is another guardian who is a closer relative than I am.

And do this ¹  because we know ²  the time, that it is already the hour for us to awake from sleep, for our salvation is now nearer than when we became believers.

So the watchman called out and informed the king. The king said, “If he is by himself, he brings good news.” ¹  The runner ²  came ever closer.

¹ The Philistine kept coming closer to David, with his shield bearer walking in front of him.

You are near, O Lord, and all your commands are reliable. ¹ 

A person who has friends ¹  may be harmed by them, ²  but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

But stay about three thousand feet behind it. ¹  Keep your distance ²  so you can see ³  which way you should go, for you have not traveled this way before.”

The Philistine drew steadily closer to David to attack him, while David quickly ran toward the battle line to attack the Philistine. ¹ 

When he brought me there, I saw ¹  a man whose appearance was like bronze, with a linen cord and a measuring stick in his hand. He was standing in the gateway.

When Moses saw it, he was amazed at the sight, and when he approached to investigate, there came the voice of the Lord,
