(The silver collected in conjunction with reparation offerings and sin offerings was not brought to the Lord’s temple; it belonged to the priests.)

They ¹  were delighted ²  and arranged to give him money. ³ 

When they were emptying their sacks, there was each man’s bag of money in his sack! When they and their father saw the bags of money, they were afraid.

Joseph collected all the money that could be found in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan as payment ¹  for the grain they were buying. Then Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh’s palace. ² 

We have brought additional money with us to buy food. We do not know who put the money in our sacks!”

you may convert the tithe into money, secure the money, ¹  and travel to the place the Lord your God chooses for himself.

Take double the money with you; ¹  you must take back ²  the money that was returned in the mouths of your sacks – perhaps it was an oversight.

When they saw the chest was full of silver, the royal secretary ¹  and the high priest counted the silver that had been brought to the Lord’s temple and bagged it up. ² 

Jehoash said to the priests, “I place at your disposal ¹  all the consecrated silver that has been brought to the Lord’s temple, including the silver collected from the census tax, ²  the silver received from those who have made vows, ³  and all the silver that people have voluntarily contributed to the Lord’s temple. ⁴ 

So Moses took the redemption money ¹  from those who were in excess of those redeemed by the Levites.

Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and his sons, according to the word of the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Feasts ¹  are made ²  for laughter, and wine makes life merry, ³  but money is the answer ⁴  for everything.

When the money from the lands of Egypt and Canaan was used up, all the Egyptians ¹  came to Joseph and said, “Give us food! Why should we die ²  before your very eyes because our money has run out?”

The priests agreed ¹  not to collect silver from the people and relieved themselves of personal responsibility for the temple repairs. ² 

Do not audit the foremen who disburse the silver, for they are honest.” ¹ 

They melted down the silver in the Lord’s temple ¹  and handed it over to the supervisors of the construction foremen.”

He has taken a bag of money with him; ¹  he will not return until ²  the end of the month.” ³ 

After ¹  they had assembled with the elders and formed a plan, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,

The Pharisees ¹  (who loved money) heard all this and ridiculed ²  him.
