Nothing is hidden ¹  that will not be revealed, ²  and nothing is secret that will not be made known.

And the eye of the adulterer watches for the twilight, thinking, ¹  ‘No eye can see me,’ and covers his face with a mask.

For we never appeared ¹  with flattering speech, as you know, nor with a pretext for greed – God is our witness –

But I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except for immorality, makes her commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

But we have rejected ¹  shameful hidden deeds, ²  not behaving ³  with deceptiveness ⁴  or distorting the word of God, but by open proclamation of the truth we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience before God.
