Its breath sets coals ablaze and a flame shoots from its mouth.

He makes the winds his messengers, and the flaming fire his attendant. ¹ 

Like the fire that burns down the forest, or the flames that consume the mountainsides, ¹ 

Fire burned their group; the flames scorched the wicked. ¹ 

The Lord’s shout strikes ¹  with flaming fire. ²

He will not escape the darkness; ¹  a flame will wither his shoots and he will depart by the breath of God’s mouth. ² 

The light of Israel ¹  will become a fire, their Holy One ²  will become a flame; it will burn and consume the Assyrian king’s ³  briers and his thorns in one day.

For look, the Lord comes with fire, his chariots come like a windstorm, ¹  to reveal his raging anger, his battle cry, and his flaming arrows. ² 

Out of its mouth go flames, ¹  sparks of fire shoot forth!

Judgment will come from the Lord who commands armies, ¹  accompanied by thunder, earthquake, and a loud noise, by a strong gale, a windstorm, and a consuming flame of fire.
