Whatever has happened is beyond human ¹  understanding; ²  it is far deeper than anyone can fathom. ³ 

I am bringing my deliverance near, it is not far away; I am bringing my salvation near, ¹  it does not wait. I will save Zion; ²  I will adorn Israel with my splendor.” ³ 

“This commandment I am giving ¹  you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it too remote.

You who are far away, listen to what I have done! You who are close by, recognize my strength!”

And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near,

But now in Christ Jesus you who used to be far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. ¹ 

You take olive oil as tribute ¹  to your king, ²  along with many perfumes. ³  You send your messengers to a distant place; you go all the way to Sheol. ⁴ 

I am the one who gives them reason to celebrate. ¹  Complete prosperity ²  is available both to those who are far away and those who are nearby,” says the Lord, “and I will heal them.

“Take note, son of man, the house of Israel is saying, ‘The vision that he sees is for distant days; he is prophesying about the far future.’

I will sell your sons and daughters to ¹  the people of Judah. ²  They will sell them to the Sabeans, ³  a nation far away. Indeed, the Lord has spoken!

But you, O Lord, do not remain far away! You are my source of strength! ¹  Hurry and help me! ² 

Do you people think ¹  that I am some local deity and not the transcendent God?” ²  the Lord asks. ³ 

The one far away will die by pestilence, the one close by will fall by the sword, and whoever is left and has escaped these ¹  will die by famine. I will fully vent my rage against them.

Look, I will escape to a distant place; I will stay in the wilderness. (Selah)

Is this really your boisterous city ¹  whose origins are in the distant past, ²  and whose feet led her to a distant land to reside?

For the promise ¹  is for you and your children, and for all who are far away, as many as the Lord our God will call to himself.”

The merchants who sold ¹  these things, who got rich from her, will stand a long way off because they are afraid of her torment. They will weep ²  and mourn,

“Therefore say: ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: Although I have removed them far away among the nations and have dispersed them among the countries, I have been a little ¹  sanctuary for them among the lands where they have gone.’

Then those who are far away ¹  will come and build the temple of the Lord so that you may know that the Lord who rules over all has sent me to you. This will all come to pass if you completely obey the voice of the Lord your God.”’”

The people kept ¹  their distance, but Moses drew near the thick darkness ²  where God was. ³
