Now the materials were more than enough ¹  for them to do all the work. ² 

The Lord our God spoke to us at Horeb and said, “You have stayed ¹  in the area of this mountain long enough.

“You have circled around this mountain long enough; now turn north.

So ¹  they said, “Look, Lord, here are two swords.” ²  Then he told them, “It is enough.” ³

But the Lord was angry at me because of you and would not listen to me. Instead, he ¹  said to me, “Enough of that! ²  Do not speak to me anymore about this matter.

The leech ¹  has two daughters: ²  “Give! Give!” ³  There are three things that are never satisfied, four ⁴  that never say, “Enough” ⁵  –

If his children increase – it is for the sword! ¹  His offspring never have enough to eat. ²

The sin we committed at Peor was bad enough. To this very day we have not purified ourselves; it even brought a plague on the community of the Lord. ¹
