Does the rain have a father, or who has fathered the drops of the dew?

He draws up drops of water; they distill ¹  the rain into its mist, ² 

which the clouds pour down and shower on humankind abundantly.

By his knowledge the primordial sea ¹  was broken open, ²  and the clouds drip down dew. ³ 

Look, the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales. He lifts ¹  the coastlands ²  as if they were dust.

And in his anguish ¹  he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.] ²
