“As for you, son of man, describe the temple to the house of Israel, so that they will be ashamed of their sins and measure the pattern.

I testify to the one who hears the words of the prophecy contained in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described ¹  in this book.

But as for you, map out the land into seven regions and bring it to me. I will draw lots for you here before the Lord our God.

And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life ¹  and in the holy city that are described in this book.

In humiliation ¹  justice was taken from him. ²  Who can describe his posterity? ³  For his life was taken away ⁴  from the earth.” ⁵ 

When the men started out, Joshua told those going to map out the land, “Go, walk through the land, map it out, and return to me. Then I will draw lots for you before the Lord here in Shiloh.”

He motioned to them ¹  with his hand to be quiet and then related ²  how the Lord had brought ³  him out of the prison. He said, “Tell James and the brothers these things,” and then he left and went to another place. ⁴ 

He also asked, “To what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable can we use to present it?

Those who had seen what had happened to the demon-possessed man reported it, and they also told about the pigs.

So even David himself speaks regarding the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:

The men journeyed ¹  through the land and mapped it and its cities out into seven regions on a scroll. Then they came to Joshua at the camp in Shiloh.

He produced manuals on botany, describing every kind of plant, ¹  from the cedars of Lebanon to the hyssop that grows on walls. He also produced manuals on biology, describing ²  animals, birds, insects, and fish.

So they were sent on their way by the church, and as they passed through both Phoenicia ¹  and Samaria, they were relating at length ²  the conversion of the Gentiles and bringing great joy ³  to all the brothers.

How then would the scriptures that say it must happen this way be fulfilled?”

“To what then should I compare the people ¹  of this generation, and what are they like?

He captured a young man from Succoth ¹  and interrogated him. The young man wrote down for him the names of Succoth’s officials and city leaders – seventy-seven men in all. ² 

This is just what I told ¹  Pharaoh: God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do.

The king ¹  asked them, “Describe the appearance ²  of this man who came up to meet you and told you these things.”

“Indeed, my eyes have seen all this, ²  my ears have heard and understood it.

He marks out the horizon ¹  on the surface of the waters as a boundary between light and darkness.
