If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all people. ¹ 

So then, ¹  it does not depend on human desire or exertion, ²  but on God who shows mercy.

All the law and the prophets depend ¹  on these two commandments.”

In this way you will live ¹  a decent life before outsiders and not be in need. ² 

For if the inheritance is based on the law, it is no longer based on the promise, but God graciously gave ¹  it to Abraham through the promise.

The Israelites journeyed ¹  from Rameses ²  to Sukkoth. There were about 600,000 men ³  on foot, plus their dependants. ⁴ 

Will you rely on it because its strength is great? Will you commit ¹  your labor to it?

Can you count on ¹  it to bring in ²  your grain, ³  and gather the grain ⁴  to your threshing floor? ⁵ 

We ¹  wait for the Lord; he is our deliverer ²  and shield. ³ 

All of your creatures ¹  wait for you to provide them with food on a regular basis. ² 

Joseph also provided food for his father, his brothers, and all his father’s household, according to the number of their little children.

At that time ¹  those left in Israel, those who remain of the family ²  of Jacob, will no longer rely on a foreign leader that abuses them. ³  Instead they will truly ⁴  rely on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel. ⁵ 

The Lord says, “I will put a curse on people who trust in mere human beings, who depend on mere flesh and blood for their strength, ²  and whose hearts ³  have turned away from the Lord.

You must pay his wage that very day before the sun sets, for he is poor and his life depends on it. Otherwise he will cry out to the Lord against you, and you will be guilty of sin.

The Exalted God is my shield, ¹  the one who delivers the morally upright. ² 

it will remain stable, like the moon, ¹  his throne will endure like the skies.” ²  (Selah)
