“Even today my complaint is still bitter; ¹  his ²  hand is heavy despite ³  my groaning.

If I say, ¹  ‘I will ²  forget my complaint, I will change my expression ³  and be cheerful,’ ⁴ 

Is my ¹  complaint against a man? ²  If so, ³  why should I not be impatient? ⁴ 

I pour out my lament before him; I tell him about ¹  my troubles.

If ¹  I say, ²  “My bed will comfort me, ³  my couch will ease ⁴  my complaint,”

I was very angry when I heard their outcry and these complaints. ¹ 

“If I have disregarded the right of my male servants or my female servants when they disputed ¹  with me,

Pay attention to me and answer me! I am so upset ¹  and distressed, ²  I am beside myself, ³ 

“How long must I bear ¹  with this evil congregation ²  that murmurs against me? I have heard the complaints of the Israelites that they murmured against me.

bearing with one another and forgiving ¹  one another, if someone happens to have ²  a complaint against anyone else. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also forgive others. ³

Now in those ¹  days, when the disciples were growing in number, ²  a complaint arose on the part of the Greek-speaking Jews ³  against the native Hebraic Jews, ⁴  because their widows ⁵  were being overlooked ⁶  in the daily distribution of food. ⁷ 

Do not accept an accusation against an elder unless it can be confirmed by two or three witnesses. ¹ 

But just as Paul was about to speak, ¹  Gallio said to the Jews, “If it were a matter of some crime or serious piece of villainy, ²  I would have been justified in accepting the complaint ³  of you Jews, ⁴ 

and in the morning you will see ¹  the glory of the Lord, because he has heard ²  your murmurings against the Lord. As for us, what are we, ³  that you should murmur against us?”
