and all the brothers with me, to the churches of Galatia.

But I was personally ¹  unknown to the churches of Judea that are in Christ.

This mystery is great – but I am actually ¹  speaking with reference to Christ and the church.

He passed through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening ¹  the churches.

From Miletus ¹  he sent a message ²  to Ephesus, telling the elders of the church to come to him. ³ 

If ¹  he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. If ²  he refuses to listen to the church, treat him like ³  a Gentile ⁴  or a tax collector. ⁵ 

The churches in the province of Asia ¹  send greetings to you. Aquila and Prisca ²  greet ³  you warmly in the Lord, with the church that meets in their house.

The one who speaks in a tongue builds himself up, ¹  but the one who prophesies builds up the church.

Great ¹  fear gripped ²  the whole church ³  and all who heard about these things.

A report ¹  about them came to the attention ²  of the church in Jerusalem, ³  and they sent Barnabas ⁴  to Antioch. ⁵ 

So Peter was kept in prison, but those in the church were earnestly ¹  praying to God for him. ² 

Now I commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is a servant ¹  of the church in Cenchrea,

Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you.

With regard to the collection for the saints, please follow the directions that I gave to the churches of Galatia: ¹ 

I robbed other churches by receiving support from them so that I could serve you! ¹ 

Apart from other things, ¹  there is the daily pressure on me of my anxious concern ²  for all the churches.

to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

because the husband is the head of the wife as also Christ is the head of the church – he himself being the savior of the body.

But as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

Husbands, love your ¹  wives just as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her
