Her house is the way to the grave, ¹  going down ²  to the chambers ³  of death.

Then he brought me to the outer court. I saw ¹  chambers there, and a pavement made for the court all around; thirty chambers faced the pavement.

The width of the outer wall of the side chambers was 8¾ feet, ¹  and the open area between the side chambers of the temple

As for the outer wall by the side of the chambers, toward the outer court facing the chambers, it was 87½ feet ¹  long.

I took them to the Lord’s temple. I took them into the room where the disciples of the prophet Hanan son of Igdaliah stayed. ¹  That room was next to the one where the temple officers stayed and above the room where Maaseiah son of Shallum, one of the doorkeepers ²  of the temple, stayed.

Their land was overrun by frogs, which even got into the rooms of their kings.

A tempest blows out from its chamber, icy cold from the driving winds. ¹ 

Then he said to me, “The north chambers and the south chambers which face the courtyard are holy chambers where the priests ¹  who approach the Lord will eat the most holy offerings. There they will place the most holy offerings – the grain offering, the sin offering, and the guilt offering, because the place is holy.

he makes the Bear, ¹  Orion, ²  and the Pleiades, ³  and the constellations of the southern sky; ⁴ 

He built an extension all around the walls of the temple’s main hall and holy place and constructed side rooms in it. ¹ 

Now the upper chambers were narrower, because the galleries took more space from them than from the lower and middle chambers of the building.

There was a chamber with its door by the porch of the gate; ¹  there they washed the burnt offering.

He said to me, “This chamber which faces south is for the priests who keep charge of the temple, ¹ 

and the chambers of the court was 35 feet ¹  in width all around the temple on every side.

Below these chambers was a passage on the east side as one enters from the outer court.

The side chambers were in three stories, one above the other, thirty in each story. There were offsets in the wall all around to serve as supports for the side chambers, so that the supports were not in the wall of the temple.

The officials put the scroll in the room of Elishama, the royal secretary, for safekeeping. ¹  Then they went to the court and reported everything ²  to the king. ³ 

Micaiah replied, “Look, you will see in the day when you go into an inner room to hide.”

Then he measured the wall of the temple ¹  as 10½ feet, ²  and the width of the side chambers as 7 feet, ³  all around the temple.
