Mikloth was the father of Shimeah. They also lived near their relatives in Jerusalem. ¹ 

Now Amnon had a friend named Jonadab, the son of David’s brother Shimeah. Jonadab was a very crafty man.

Jonadab, the son of David’s brother Shimeah, said, “My lord should not say, ‘They have killed all the young men who are the king’s sons.’ For only Amnon is dead. This is what Absalom has talked about ¹  from the day that Amnon ²  humiliated his sister Tamar.

When he taunted Israel, Jonathan, the son of David’s brother Shimeah, killed him.

Then Jesse presented ¹  Shammah. But Samuel said, “The Lord has not chosen this one either.”
