Look, I have given you authority to tread ¹  on snakes and scorpions ²  and on the full force of the enemy, ³  and nothing will ⁴  hurt you.

being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might for the display of ¹  all patience and steadfastness, joyfully

The arrival of the lawless one ¹  will be by Satan’s working with all kinds of miracles ²  and signs and false wonders,

Indeed, God is exalted in his power; who is a teacher ¹  like him?

To him belongs ¹  the power forever. Amen.

and he displayed great power ¹  and awesome might in view of all Israel. ² 

Indeed, God is mighty; and he does not despise people, ¹  he ²  is mighty, and firm ³  in his intent. ⁴ 

God says, ¹  “I will bring down all the power of the wicked; the godly will be victorious.” ² 

Not all have gifts of healing, do they? Not all speak in tongues, do they? Not all interpret, do they? ¹ 

and I will be a father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters,” ¹  says the All-Powerful Lord. ² 

Now ¹  I saw no temple in the city, because the Lord God – the All-Powerful ²  – and the Lamb are its temple.

while David and all Israel ¹  were energetically celebrating before the Lord, singing ²  and playing various stringed instruments, ³  tambourines, rattles, ⁴  and cymbals.

All of the thriving people ¹  of the earth will join the celebration and worship; ²  all those who are descending into the grave ³  will bow before him, including those who cannot preserve their lives. ⁴ 

Nations will see this and be disappointed by ¹  all their strength, they will put their hands over their mouths, and act as if they were deaf. ² 

And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades ¹  will not overpower it.

Then Jesus came up and said to them, ¹  “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

And he ¹  said to him, “To you ²  I will grant this whole realm ³  – and the glory that goes along with it, ⁴  for it has been relinquished ⁵  to me, and I can give it to anyone I wish.

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except by God’s appointment, ¹  and the authorities that exist have been instituted by God.

in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem even as far as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

Not all are apostles, are they? Not all are prophets, are they? Not all are teachers, are they? Not all perform miracles, do they?
