Then the Lord said, “You have observed correctly. This means ¹  I am watching to make sure my threats are carried out.” ² 

So I got up and went out to the valley, and the glory of the Lord was standing there, just like the glory I had seen by the Kebar River, ¹  and I threw myself face down.

As for the form of their faces, they were the faces whose appearance I had seen at the Kebar River. Each one moved straight ahead.

Have you not seen a false vision and announced a lying omen when you say, “the Lord declares,” although I myself never spoke?

“Be ¹  careful not to display your righteousness merely to be seen by people. ²  Otherwise you have no reward with your Father in heaven.

Then I perceived that the glory of the God of Israel was there, as in the vision I had seen earlier in the valley.

but ¹  God raised him up on the third day and caused him to be seen, ² 

They said, “Come on, let’s attack them, ¹  for ²  we saw their land and it is very good. You seem lethargic, ³  but don’t hesitate ⁴  to invade and conquer ⁵  the land.

One of his attendants replied, ¹  “I have seen a son of Jesse in Bethlehem ²  who knows how to play the lyre. He is a brave warrior ³  and is articulate ⁴  and handsome, ⁵  for the Lord is with him.”
