He will take delight in obeying the Lord. ¹  He will not judge by mere appearances, ²  or make decisions on the basis of hearsay. ³ 

The least of you will multiply into ¹  a thousand; the smallest of you will become a large nation. When the right time comes, I the Lord will quickly do this!” ² 

When the disciples saw it they were amazed, saying, “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?”

Then ¹  they went out and ran from the tomb, for terror and bewilderment had seized them. ²  And they said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid.

When Azariah the high priest and the other priests looked at ¹  him, there was a skin disease on his forehead. They hurried him out of there; even the king ²  himself wanted to leave quickly because the Lord had afflicted him.

The days of our lives add up to seventy years, ¹  or eighty, if one is especially strong. ²  But even one’s best years are marred by trouble and oppression. ³  Yes, ⁴  they pass quickly ⁵  and we fly away. ⁶ 

Then King Nebuchadnezzar was startled and quickly got up. He said to his ministers, “Wasn’t it three men that we tied up and threw ¹  into ²  the fire?” They replied to the king, “For sure, O king.”

they formed an alliance to fight against Joshua and Israel. ¹ 

He mounted ¹  a winged angel ²  and flew; he glided ³  on the wings of the wind. ⁴ 

If ¹  I have walked in falsehood, and if ²  my foot has hastened ³  to deceit –

The Lord is compassionate and merciful; he is patient ¹  and demonstrates great loyal love. ² 

The nations’ idols are made of silver and gold, they are man-made. ¹ 

People ¹  are like a vapor, their days like a shadow that disappears. ² 

for they ¹  are eager ²  to inflict harm, ³  and they hasten ⁴  to shed blood. ⁵ 

Pleasant words are like ¹  a honeycomb, ²  sweet to the soul and healing ³  to the bones.
