Then ¹  I saw heaven opened and here came ²  a white horse! The ³  one riding it was called “Faithful” and “True,” and with justice ⁴  he judges and goes to war.

The ¹  sea gave up the dead that were in it, and Death ²  and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each one was judged according to his deeds.

“Now you, Ezra, in keeping with the wisdom of your God which you possess, ¹  appoint judges ²  and court officials who can arbitrate cases on behalf of all the people who are in Trans-Euphrates who know the laws of your God. Those who do not know this law should be taught.

But the Lord does not surrender the godly, or allow them to be condemned in a court of law. ¹ 

They will be thrown down the side of a cliff by their judges. ¹  They ²  will listen to my words, for they are pleasant.

He is the one who reduces rulers to nothing; he makes the earth’s leaders insignificant.

Far be it from you to do such a thing – to kill the godly with the wicked, treating the godly and the wicked alike! Far be it from you! Will not the judge ¹  of the whole earth do what is right?” ² 

“Therefore I will judge each person according to his conduct, ¹  O house of Israel, declares the sovereign Lord. Repent ²  and turn from all your wickedness; then it will not be an obstacle leading to iniquity. ³ 

because he has set ¹  a day on which he is going to judge the world ²  in righteousness, by a man whom he designated, ³  having provided proof to everyone by raising ⁴  him from the dead.”

May the God of Abraham and the god of Nahor, ¹  the gods of their father, judge between us.” Jacob took an oath by the God whom his father Isaac feared. ² 

On the next day ¹  Moses sat to judge ²  the people, and the people stood around Moses from morning until evening.

He had forty sons and thirty grandsons who rode on seventy donkeys. He led Israel for eight years.

May the Lord judge between the two of us, and may the Lord vindicate me over you, but my hand will not be against you.

It is by these that he judges ¹  the nations and supplies food in abundance.

He is a father to the fatherless and an advocate for widows. ¹  God rules from his holy palace. ² 

For the Lord, our ruler, the Lord, our commander, the Lord, our king – he will deliver us.

The end is now upon you, and I will release my anger against you; I will judge ¹  you according to your behavior, ²  I will hold you accountable for ³  all your abominable practices.

This city will not be a cooking pot for you, and you will not ¹  be meat within it; I will judge you at the border of Israel.

The Lord said to me: “Son of man, are you willing to pronounce judgment ¹  on Oholah and Oholibah? Then declare to them their abominable deeds!

But upright men will punish them appropriately for their adultery and bloodshed, ¹  because they are adulteresses and blood is on their hands.
