The mouth of a fool is his ruin, and his lips are a snare for his life. ¹ 

Better is a poor person who walks in his integrity ¹  than one who is perverse in his speech ²  and is a fool. ³

The sluggard plunges ¹  his hand in the dish; he is too lazy to bring it back to his mouth. ² 

The one who keeps the law ¹  is a discerning child, ²  but a companion of gluttons brings shame ³  to his parents. ⁴ 

A rich person ¹  is wise in his own eyes, ²  but a discerning poor person can evaluate him properly. ³ 

The one who trusts in his own heart ¹  is a fool, but the one who walks in wisdom ²  will escape. ³ 

A fool lets fly with all his temper, ¹  but a wise person keeps it back. ² 

Do you see someone ¹  who is hasty in his words? ²  There is more hope for a fool than for him. ³ 

She is clothed ¹  with strength ²  and honor, ³  and she can laugh ⁴  at the time ⁵  to come.
