But if we say, ‘From people,’ we fear the crowd, for they all consider John to be a prophet.”

They wanted to arrest him, but they were afraid of the crowds, because the crowds ¹  regarded him as a prophet.

But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowds to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus killed.

Now ¹  Jesus ²  went home, and a crowd gathered so that they were not able to eat.

When they came to the disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and experts in the law ¹  arguing with them.

Then the crowd came up and began to ask Pilate to release a prisoner for them, as was his custom. ¹ 

Now on ¹  the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, a large crowd met him.

Now large crowds ¹  were accompanying Jesus, ²  and turning to them he said,

So ¹  Judas ²  agreed and began looking for an opportunity to betray Jesus ³  when no crowd was present. ⁴ 

A large crowd was following him because they were observing the miraculous signs he was performing on the sick.

So when they were dismissed, ¹  they went down to Antioch, ²  and after gathering the entire group ³  together, they delivered the letter.

What then should we do? They will no doubt ¹  hear that you have come.

He said to me, ‘I am going to make you fruitful ¹  and will multiply you. ²  I will make you into a group of nations, and I will give this land to your descendants ³  as an everlasting possession.’ ⁴ 

Mordecai the Jew was second only to King Ahasuerus. He was the highest-ranking ¹  Jew, and he was admired by his numerous relatives. ²  He worked enthusiastically ³  for the good of his people and was an advocate for the welfare of ⁴  all his descendants. ⁵ 

when the nations gather together, and the kingdoms pay tribute to the Lord. ¹ 

Again he began to teach by the lake. Such a large crowd gathered around him that he got into a boat on the lake and sat there while ¹  the whole crowd was on the shore by the lake.

As he approached the road leading down from ¹  the Mount of Olives, ²  the whole crowd of his ³  disciples began to rejoice ⁴  and praise ⁵  God with a loud voice for all the mighty works ⁶  they had seen: ⁷ 

May the sovereign God ¹  bless you! May he make you fruitful and give you a multitude of descendants! ²  Then you will become ³  a large nation. ⁴
