So David set out and went to the place where Saul was camped. David saw the place where Saul and Abner son of Ner, the general in command of his army, were sleeping. Now Saul was lying in the entrenchment, and the army was camped all around him.

Do not long for the cover of night to drag people away from their homes. ¹

So it is with ¹  the one who has sex with ²  his neighbor’s wife; no one ³  who touches ⁴  her will escape ⁵  punishment. ⁶

When Boaz had finished his meal and was feeling satisfied, he lay down to sleep at the far end of the grain heap. ¹  Then Ruth ²  crept up quietly, ³  uncovered his legs, ⁴  and lay down beside him. ⁵
