His head is like the most pure gold. ¹  His hair is curly ²  – black like a raven.

The ¹  armies that are in heaven, dressed in white, clean, fine linen, ²  were following him on white horses.

Then ¹  the angel ²  showed me the river of the water of life – water as clear as crystal – pouring out ³  from the throne of God and of the Lamb,

Now ¹  while Jesus ²  was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, reclining at the table, ³  a woman came with an alabaster jar ⁴  of costly aromatic oil ⁵  from pure nard. After breaking open the jar, she poured it on his head.

Then Mary took three quarters of a pound ¹  of expensive aromatic oil from pure nard ²  and anointed the feet of Jesus. She ³  then wiped his feet dry with her hair. (Now the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfumed oil.) ⁴ 

(The gold of that land is pure; ¹  pearls ²  and lapis lazuli ³  are also there).

the pure gold flower-shaped ornaments, lamps, and tongs,

holding to the mystery of the faith ¹  with a clear conscience.

I looked up ¹  and saw a ²  man ³  clothed in linen; ⁴  around his waist was a belt made of gold from Upaz. ⁵ 

“While I was watching, thrones were set up, and the Ancient of Days ¹  took his seat. His attire was white like snow; the hair of his head was like lamb’s ²  wool. His throne was ablaze with fire and its wheels were all aflame. ³ 

But the righteous man holds to his way, and the one with clean hands grows stronger. ¹ 

he will deliver even someone who is not innocent, ¹  who will escape ²  through the cleanness of your hands.”

“If I have put my confidence in gold or said to pure gold, ‘You are my security!’

Create for me a pure heart, O God! ¹  Renew a resolute spirit within me! ² 

Your ¹  silver has become scum, ²  your beer is diluted with water. ³ 

by purity, by knowledge, by patience, by benevolence, by the Holy Spirit, ¹  by genuine ²  love,

For this is God’s will: that you become holy, ¹  that you keep away from sexual immorality,

The Lord is a warrior, ¹  the Lord is his name. ² 

The priests and the Levites had purified themselves, every last one, ¹  and they all were ceremonially pure. They sacrificed the Passover lamb for all the exiles, for their colleagues ²  the priests, and for themselves.

His legs are like pillars of marble set on bases of pure gold. His appearance is like Lebanon, choice as its cedars.
