So when he came to Galilee, the Galileans welcomed him because they had seen all the things he had done in Jerusalem ¹  at the feast ²  (for they themselves had gone to the feast). ³

This is something Israel must do on a permanent basis. ³ 

When you enter the land that the Lord will give to you, just as he said, you must observe ¹  this ceremony.

¹ The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “This is the ordinance of the Passover. No foreigner may ²  share in eating it. ³ 

On the first day there will be a holy assembly for you; you must not do any regular work. ¹ 

You must live in temporary shelters ¹  for seven days; every native citizen in Israel must live in temporary shelters,

And on the first day there is to be a holy assembly; you must do no ordinary work ¹  on it.

On the seventh day you are to have a holy assembly, you must do no regular work.

“‘On the eighth day you are to have a holy assembly; you must do no ordinary work on it.

to have them observe the fourteenth and the fifteenth day of the month of Adar each year

As for the singers, as well as the pipers – all of them sing within your walls. ¹ 

This is the day the Lord has brought about. ¹  We will be happy and rejoice in it.

Let your clothes always be white, and do not spare precious ointment on your head.
