Your loyal followers will be glad when they see me, ¹  for I find hope in your word.

I rely on ¹  the Lord, I rely on him with my whole being; ²  I wait for his assuring word. ³ 

Then they will call to me, but I will not answer; they will diligently seek ¹  me, but they will not find me.

Do not say, ¹  “I will pay back ²  evil!” Wait ³  for the Lord, so that he may vindicate you. ⁴ 

Do not eat the food of a stingy person, ¹  do not crave his delicacies;

Do you see ¹  a man wise in his own eyes? ²  There is more hope for a fool ³  than for him.

The Lord says, ¹  “The leaders of my people are sure to be judged. ²  They were supposed to watch over my people like shepherds watch over their sheep. But they are causing my people to be destroyed and scattered. ³ 

So I said, “My endurance has expired; I have lost all hope of deliverance ¹  from the Lord.”

“My portion is the Lord,” I have said to myself, ¹  so I will put my hope in him.

ט (Tet) The Lord is good to those who trust ¹  in him, to the one ²  who seeks him.

Blessed is the one who waits and attains to the 1,335 days.

You too will act like drunkards; ¹  you will go into hiding; ²  you too will seek refuge from the enemy.

And if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah, who is to come.

But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God ¹  has already overtaken ²  you.

But when the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he was very rich. ¹
