that during a severe ordeal of suffering, their abundant joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in the wealth ¹  of their generosity.

The man became wealthy. ¹  His influence continued to grow ²  until he became very prominent.

The Lord impoverishes and makes wealthy; he humbles and he exalts.

The wealth that he consumed ¹  he vomits up, God will make him throw it out ²  of his stomach.

‘Surely our enemies ¹  are destroyed, and fire consumes their wealth.’

Would your wealth ¹  sustain you, so that you would not be in distress, ²  even all your mighty efforts? ³ 

The little bit that a godly man owns is better than the wealth of many evil men, ¹ 

You sold ¹  your people for a pittance; ²  you did not ask a high price for them. ³ 

Rich people from Tyre ¹  will seek your favor by bringing a gift. ² 

For he will take nothing with him when he dies; his wealth will not follow him down into the grave. ¹ 

We will seize ¹  all kinds ²  of precious wealth; we will fill our houses with plunder. ³ 

The lazy person does not roast ¹  his prey, but personal possessions ²  are precious to the diligent.

Nevertheless the Lord will evict her and shove her fortifications ¹  into the sea – she will be consumed by fire.

So it is with the one who stores up riches for himself, ¹  but is not rich toward God.”

My hand discovered the wealth of the nations, as if it were in a nest, as one gathers up abandoned eggs, I gathered up the whole earth. There was no wing flapping, or open mouth chirping.” ¹ 

You stood aloof ¹  while strangers took his army ²  captive, and foreigners advanced to his gates. ³  When they cast lots ⁴  over Jerusalem, ⁵  you behaved as though you were in league ⁶  with them.

The blessing ¹  from the Lord ²  makes a person rich, ³  and he adds no sorrow ⁴  to ⁵  it.
