This was according to ¹  the eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord,

But they will not go much further, ¹  for their foolishness will be obvious to everyone, just like it was with Jannes and Jambres. ² 

But evil people and charlatans will go from bad to worse, ¹  deceiving others and being deceived themselves. ² 

From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. These things should not be so, my brothers and sisters. ¹ 

They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world’s perspective and the world listens to them.

When ¹  our time was over, ²  we left and went on our way. All of them, with their wives and children, accompanied ³  us outside of the city. After ⁴  kneeling down on the beach and praying, ⁵

And he told ¹  the army, ²  “Move ahead ³  and march around the city, with armed troops going ahead of the ark of the Lord.”
