I also gave ¹  them decrees ²  which were not good and regulations by which they could not live.

Moreover, they have done this to me: In the very same day ¹  they desecrated my sanctuary and profaned my Sabbaths.

But the more I summoned ¹  them, the farther they departed from me. ²  They sacrificed to the Baal idols and burned incense to images.

But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you!

Jesus said to her, “I, the one speaking to you, am he.”

“You are to command the Israelites that they bring ¹  to you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, so that the lamps ²  will burn ³  regularly. ⁴
